Greetings!
We have made amazing progress on the creation of a first of its kind grassroots interfaith, intersectional, and multiracial grassroots educate, get out the vote, and protect the vote campaign in the history of NC!
The NC Ballotpalooza event, will be the first of its kind “rock the vote” “edutainment” event to be held with a live FB webcast in less than 3 weeks, and we are close to raising $20,000 for public service announcements on voting on NC black and Hispanic radio stations; of course we need to raise about $50,000 if we can…. or more!
We have technical experts who have donated over $200,000 in kind gratis services, because they believe that what we are doing in NC to get out the vote in record numbers is creative, hip, and will be highly successful in the time of Covid-19. But, now we need more funding to cover the costs of our very laser focused get out the vote campaign in NC! We need your help!
We all know how important NC is in the upcoming Nov 3, 2020 election. We now have an unprecedented NC voter education/GOTV/Election Protection coalition and coordinated campaign, and we will definitely have a significant impact on the Presidential election here in NC and SC in terms of voter participation—but only if we can garner the resources to make it a huge success!
We are a 501 c 3 non partisan coalition, (Freepress.org) and in N.C. we need an additional $20,000 to cover the expenses of graphic artists, PSA’s, and on the ground folks to work as poll workers and monitors in NC. ( See grassrootsep.org for more info on the national EP campaign organized by the legendary scholar and activist Harvey Wasserman; and many other legendary and renowned voting rights and social justice leaders).
In NC we have assembled “A list“ organizers, artists, interfaith, social justice, labor, business, and get-out-the vote NGO’s, and have now raised $70,000 for the national and NC EP campaign within the last 8 weeks. Now, we are trying to raise an additional $20,000 from multiple sponsors to raise funds for the NC ballotpolloza Voting education and music event, and hiring poll workers and monitors.
We intend to educate and activate scores of voters in NC about everything one needs to know about voting, since many unfortunately do not know now, in large part due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
We will accept all donations, no matter the amount, and as a 501 c 3 campaign, all contributions and expenditures are fully transparent and will be part of the public record.
